This winter, this particularly affects Afghan families who are fleeing to the supposedly safe Europe for fear of persecution by the Taliban.The insufficient state aid means that they have to find shelter in ruined buildings or self-made tents.
IDue to the EU’s isolation policy, thousands of people have to wait out their journey and persevere as refugees in the Bosnian border area. This winter, this particularly affects Afghan families who are fleeing to the supposedly safe Europe for fear of persecution by the Taliban.
Blindspots therefore builds mobile stoves and
distributes them together with firewood in the temporary shelters. The procurement of wood is problematic for the people due to humidity and snow, and dry wood is important so that the shelters can at least be heated to temperatures necessary for survival. It also gives people the opportunity to cook a warm meal every now and then.
